I discovered WordPress around 2007, beginning as a curious user exploring the possibilities of open publishing.
His involvement deepened in 2014 when he volunteered at WordCamp Sofia and went on to co-organize local WordPress meetups and WordCamps across Poland, helping grow the regional community.
That same year, he joined OnTheGoSystems, providing multilingual support for the WPML plugin, and later moved to Japan, where he worked as a Product Evangelist focused on connecting creators and open-source tools.
Since 2016, Maciej has been part of Automattic Inc., where he currently serves as a Community Wrangler and Happiness Engineer. In this role, he bridges support, community, and product feedback — ensuring that users and contributors alike have a voice in shaping the WordPress.com experience.
Passionate about education and open collaboration, Maciej actively promotes initiatives like WordPress Credits and WP Campus Connect, which connect academia with the global open-source ecosystem to empower the next generation of contributors.
